More than a thousand years ago, in 681 horsemen warriors, the Proto-Bulgarians, arrived in the lands of the Balkans and brought with them horseman skills never seen before in Europe. Ever since, until today horse-breeding and horseback riding have been a characteristic feature of the Bulgarian lifestyle and traditions.
